The second annual Tracy Lawrence Golf For A Cure celebrated another successful year this past week, raising funds to benefit Lace Up 4 Pink and Susan G. Komen of Greater Nashville.

Sports and entertainment celebrities took to the green in a parade of carts that featured women of sports LPGA tour top ranking Angela Stanford, Kristy McPherson, and Gerina Piller, giving participants the opportunity to experience a game with the pros. Other celebrities included NFL Titans, Rob Bironas, Racing Country, Cathy Martindale, The Roy’s, Joanna Smith, Ira Dean, Dave Innis and Paul Gregg of Restless Heart, Rockie Shipes, Joe Diffie, Ty Brown, Rick Huckaby, Kim Tribble, Don Ellis Gatlin, and Scotty Alexander.

 

Bluegrass duo The Roys have joined SESAC for performing rights representation. The brother and sister act have just released their debut project on Rural Rhythm Records entitled Lonesome Whistle. “We are extremely excited to welcome The Roys into the SESAC family,” says SESAC’s Vice President, Tim Fink. “The Roys are a unique act with such an exciting and definable sound. Everyone at SESAC looks forward to being a part of the great things to come from The Roys.

In addition to their ongoing preparations for a 30-minute musical variety show for ValCom Studios, The Roys have been tapped to host 7 episodes of Bluegrass Mountains for CJM Productions. The new show will debut tomorrow (5/1) in New Zealand on Country 99 TV, and will begin airing in June on CMC Australia, and on Sky TV in the UK.

Bluegrass Mountains will be dedicated to bluegrass music videos, showing both new and existing features from established artists like Rhonda Vincent, Dolly Parton and Alison Krauss, mixed with videos from popular bluegrass acts and up-and-comers. The other six episodes in the first 13 are hosted by Marty Raybon and The Grascals.
